Dear partners,
we are pleased to inform you that the merger of the legally independent company proxomed Medizintechnik GmbH with the previous PHYSIOMED ELEKTROMEDIZIN AG was notarially signed on 12 June 2023, each with equal shares. For regulatory reasons, we have decided to operate with the two brands proxomed and PHYSIOMED under PHYSIOMED ELEKTROMEDIZIN AG with immediate effect.
In this process, the previous business units with their respective brands and products will be retained under the new PHYSIOMED ELEKTROMEDIZIN AG:
- The business unit medical training therapy: proxomed - for a healthy society
- The business unit physical therapy: PHYSIOMED - technology for therapy
proxowell GmbH in Luhden, a hundred percent subsidiary of proxomed Medizintechnik GmbH, will also be integrated into the new PHYSIOMED ELEKTROMEDIZIN AG as a manufacturer of excellent test and training devices.
What belongs together on the therapeutic path of patient treatment in the areas of rehabilitation, sports and aesthetic medicine is thus growing together. By combining our resources, expertise and experience, we will be able to offer you an expanded product portfolio and further improve our service. We will also continue to uphold our long-standing commitment to quality and reliability.
The activities for the medical training therapy business unit with the proxomed brand at the previously known Alzenau location will be continue under the joint PHYSIOMED ELEKTROMEDIZIN AG in the new Alzenau office premises.
Good to know!
- Specifically, with the merger of the two companies, all rights and obligations arising from the existing legal relationships are transferred directly to PHYSIOMED ELEKTROMEDIZIN AG within the framework of universal succession, as are all existing contracts (e.g. leasing, hire-purchase and framework agreements, purchase orders, entries into purchase orders), without any consent on your part being required.
- For you, we are even better positioned as a result of the merger: We will continue to be your trusted partner in the future. So you can continue to rely on competent advice, a wide range of high-quality medical products, innovative technologies and unique therapy solutions.
- Of course, the team with your familiar proxomed- (proxowell-) and PHYSIOMED contact partners will remain at their locations responsible for you.
- You will benefit from the same good service in all department areas that you have been used to up to now.
- With our locations in Schnaittach, Alzenau, Steckborn and Luhden as well as several nationwide reference centres, we are always close to you and there for you at all times.
- Your contracts will of course continue unchanged.
- Your SEPA mandates remain valid.
- Please change your master data to our new company name and update our account data.
The merger of our two companies will result in an expanded product portfolio, which will enable us to offer you as a dealer a comprehensive range of products. As a one-stop shop, we can cover a wide range of products and thus optimally serve your needs in different product categories.
By combining resources and competences, we can also strengthen and expand our portfolio for the benefit of our customers and partners. This enables us to respond even better to the needs of our and your customers.
The merger ensures that both companies can use common resources and expertise on the way to MDR certification for all products. Together we can meet the challenges of the new Medical Device Regulation and successfully implement the necessary adaptations and certifications. This ensures long-term sustainability and security for you as a distributor and for your customers.
Both companies cover the field of rehabilitation, but with different focuses. PHYSIOMED has expertise in the first phase of recovery, while proxomed specialises in ongoing rehabilitation. This complementarity complements each other perfectly and enables us to offer a comprehensive range of solutions for the entire rehabilitation process.
We are aware that changes in the course of a merger are often associated with uncertainties. Nevertheless, we would like to emphasise that we are keen to preserve the proven aspects of both companies. The strengths and success factors that you as a distributor appreciate will remain, while at the same time we will create new synergies and drive innovation.
